AFSI: Americans for a Safe Israel
www.afsi.org

"Americans for A Safe Israel was founded in 1971 by concerned Americans convinced a peaceful settlement of the Arab-Israel conflict would only occur when the Arabs realized once and for all that Israel could not be defeated militarily or in any other way. The founders were convinced that Israel must retain possession and control of Judea, Samaria, Gaza and the Golan. To abandon territory won in wars forced on it would make it vulnerable once again to renewed subversion and attack, not only by hostile Arabs in Judea and Samaria but unstable Arab regimes. AFSI is unique in its proud and outspoken advocacy of Judea, Samaria, Gaza and the Golan as integral parts of Israel. AFSI believes that a strong Israel is essential to U.S. security and that the Jewish towns in these areas are the best guarantee against strategic vulnerability. Most importantly, the pioneering efforts of the residents in these areas have the potential of rejuvenating a dormant Zionism and igniting a second Zionist revolution. "

National Unity Coalition
www.israelunitycoalition.com

The National Unity Coalition for Israel has convened an alliance of Jewish and Christian organizations actively working together to generate support for the Jewish state. With over 200 autonomous partners, representing more than 40 million Americans, we are the largest network of pro-Israel groups in the United States.

Through this grassroots coalition we deliver a much-needed message to the media and Congress: that Israel is not just a Jewish issue. Millions of Christians resolutely endorse the principle of peace with security for the state of Israel.

National Unity Coalition for Israel
Declaration of Solidarity
February 2002

The 200 Christian and Jewish member organizations of the National Unity Coalition for Israel, representing many millions of Americans, stand staunchly in support of a safe and secure Israel.
We praise Israel, as the sole democracy in the Middle East since her rebirth in 1948, for affording all of her citizens the freedoms we hold dear, including freedom of the press and all other media, freedom of religious practice, and minority citizen representation in the Knesset (parliament). We acknowledge Israel as the homeland for the Jewish people and commend her commitment to provide total and equal access to religious and historical biblical sites for people of all faiths.

We acknowledge Israel's leadership in the areas of agriculture, medicine and technology and congratulate her on advances in these fields that continue to benefit people throughout the world. In a short half-century, Israelis have made the desert bloom and set a precedent for freedom and achievement in the Middle East.
We commend the government of Israel for its commitment to the safety and well being of pilgrims of all faiths as they travel in this land rich in history. We acknowledge the effort expended annually to maintain and improve biblical sites throughout the country and express our appreciation for the excellent condition in which they are maintained.

We members of the National Unity Coalition for Israel stand firmly with the nation of Israel and encourage her in her search for peace within secure borders. We pledge our support by sending our prayers, by communicating our support to Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and his cabinet, by visiting the land whenever and as often as possible and by continuing to tell Israel's remarkable story to our friends, our communities, our elected officials and our media.

"In 1980, Christian supporters of Israel established the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem as a practical expression of the desire of believers throughout the world to bless and comfort Zion. The Embassy opened after the international community condemned Israel for declaring united Jerusalem the "eternal and indivisible capital" of the reborn Jewish state. As 13 nations moved their embassies from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv due to a threatened Arab oil embargo, 1400 Christians from 40 countries decided to open their own Embassy in Jerusalem. It was an act of solidarity with the Jewish people's 3000-year-old connection to their holy city. Today, Christians everywhere have an Embassy representing them in Jerusalem, an effective channel for their concern and love for Israel."

The International Christian Zionist Center
http://www.israelmybeloved.com

Excellent site. News, history, discussions, explanations of evangelicals' relationship with the Jewish community, video of the Kotel, rejection of "replacement theology." Israel screen savers. Based in Israel's capital, the International Christian Zionist Center (ICZC) exists to summon all true believers - as Zechariah foretells, "ten out of each nation" - to the aid of the people of Israel. In pursuit of its task, the ICZC traces a strategic political and economic path whereby to generate committed and pro-active support for Israel in the Christian world.

They achieve this in the following ways:
* By directing attention to the Lord God of Israel and to His purposes for His ancient people and land, and for the world.
* By communicating to political leaders in Israel and in the Judeo-Christian nations the biblical truths concerning the Jews' incontestable right to the Land of Israel and to Jerusalem.
* By opposing all efforts to dispossess the Jewish people of any part of their God-ordained national homeland, with a concerted effort directed against the establishment of a Palestinian state.
* By educating Christians worldwide concerning Israel's ancient and modern history, tracing the unbroken line from God's covenant with Abraham to the Israel of our day.
* By explaining the tactics and goals of Israel's enemies, exposing what they say among themselves and bringing the plots and plans they lay in darkness out into the light.
* By exposing and challenging the anti-Semitic/anti-Israel bias that pervades and dominates the press in the Judeo-Christian world, and by demanding media accountability.
* By strategizing with Christian policy makers and business people to determine the most effective political and economic ways to support Israel and oppose Israel's foes.
* By sponsoring and convening the annual ICZC Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem, and organizing year-round Zionist tours of the Land of Israel.
* By doing prophecy, not reading it.
* By challenging Christians to upgrade their support for Israel from words and prayers to a combination of economic and material support.

Middle East News Line
http://www.menewsline.com/about_us.html

Middle East Newsline is a defense news service by independent journalists with a real understanding of the region. Correspondents gather information from Ankara, Athens, Amman, Cairo, Jerusalem, London, Moscow, Nicosia, Ramallah and Washington on developments in the Middle East as well as on issues that affect the region. These issues include weapons sales and development, strategic business deals in defense and energy, and threat environment, such as terrorism and insurgency. Middle East Newsline is not just an assembly line of information. Its focus is strategic and the service concentrates on actual developments and trends rather than on passing rhetoric. The result is news of significance. News you can use.

Coverage for news and information goes beyond the region. It covers Russia because of its close military and political ties to the Middle East; North Korea because it is regarded as one of the active weapons proliferators in this region. It covers Congress because its hearings contain valuable information on the Middle East, as well as weapons programs that affect it.

The greatest strength of Middle East Newsline is its regional focus. It reports on Israel's military, strategic programs and relations with its neighbors. They closely follow developments in the Palestinian Authority, which appears on the verge of statehood. Newsline service also monitors Islamic fundamentalism and particularly its ties with other groups in the West. Their aim is to address two issues to our clients: the defense market in the Middle East and the threats that drive weapons sales.

Currently, subscribers are provided with daily E-mail service daily. Full subscribers receive news all day. Its clients are largely professionals who want us to cut away the fluff and just provide the significant developments and trends that do not appear in the general press. The result is a concentrated but easy read that brings you a daily comprehensive picture of the region.

Also provided are strategic country profiles, as well as customized reports on virtually any issue in the Middle East. Most of these reports can be prepared within a week of order.

The Middle East Newsline is directed by Steve Rodan, a journalist with more than 20 years experience who has worked for U.S., European, Arab and Israeli newspapers, radio and television. Rodan is fluent in Arabic and Hebrew and has won awards for investigative and enterprise reporting. He was one of the first journalists to write on Iran's missile and nuclear weapons programs, Israeli-Russian joint defense marketing, and the first to document Egyptian-North Korean missile cooperation. He has provided exclusives to such publications as Jane's Defense Weekly in London, Defense News in Washington, Military Technology in Bonn, The Jerusalem Post in Israel, The Sunday Express in London and Le Nouvelles Actuelles in Paris. He has traveled extensively and is both an expert of the region as well as a specialist on military and strategic issues.

Israel Hasbara Committee
http://info.jpost.com/C002/Info/Organizations/Hasbara/

There is a growing worldwide disinformation program against both Israel and World Jewry from mostly hostile Arab and Islamic sources. Once 'falsehoods' become 'truths' it is always more difficult to reverse the trend among the general population. Israel's and World Jewry's responses to attacks in the press, media and on university campuses have been minuscule and ineffective by comparison.
We have set up in Jerusalem a voluntary association to instigate an information (hasbara) program to better inform and explain facts to the worldwide general public. This will include educational sessions, giving interviews to press and media, participating at panel discussions, being active at Diaspora universities and taking advantage of spontaneous meetings.
Jewish communities around the world are blessed with a great number of talented and skilled persons in just about every field imaginable. We seek motivated individuals to involve themselves in some way in this program. People of all faiths are most welcome. We need regional monitors, representatives and correspondents.
There is considerable urgency in getting such an ambitious program underway.

"We believe that Jerusalem, under the sovereignty of the State of Israel is as free and open a city as any in the world. In the 33 years that Jerusalem has been the united capital of the State of Israel, the Israeli government has acted as guardian of the holy sites - respecting the rights of all religious groups and guaranteeing access for all - Christians, Jews and Muslims. Israel's record in this regard speaks for itself. It stands in sharp contrast to the situation that was created in 1948 at the time of Israel's founding, when Jerusalem was forcibly divided as a result of the invasion of Arab armies. From 1948-1967, Jews, Israeli Arabs both Christians and Muslims were denied access to holy sites. Religious persecution led to desecration and destruction. This must never be allowed to reoccur. We believe that Israel has upheld its moral and ethical obligations to the people of the world and has earned the right to retain sovereignty over all of Jerusalem, according to the present boundaries. Moreover, we believe that Israel's decision, as a free and democratic nation, to designate a united and undivided Jerusalem as its capital, should be respected and recognized by the entire international community.
